However, a regulatory modification from late 2021 was granted in February 2022, allowing for online expansion. Given that online sports betting frequently accounts for more than 90% of all activity in other states, Arkansas is well-positioned to generate a lot of tax-revenue from gambling. As many as eight online sportsbooks may open in Arkansas under the state’s online sports betting regulations.
