Aristocrat gaming’s license deal with the NFL (inked in 2021) enables it to use highly lucrative league team logos & branding on Aristocrat casino slot machines in the US.
The company announced that its NFL-themed Slots are set roll out on casino floors nationwide in the US just in time for football season.
In a clear u-turn to the National Football League’s former stance – staunch opposition to legalized gambling (prior to the 2018 Supreme Court decision which paved the way for states to adopt legal and regulated sports wagering), the league is embracing gambling licensing partnerships to generate additional revenues.
In related news, at least ten NFL players have been suspended from the league in recent months for NFL gambling policy violations. On Monday, Eyioma Uwazurike of the Denver Broncos was suspended indefinitely for allegedly betting on NFL games in 2022.
